"So this is our last meeting upright?" Rahul asked for Priya
"Maybe or maybe not" Priya smiled
"Don't go! I'll miss you!"
"Rahul, don't be stupid. I have so much work pending!"
"So your work is more important than me?" Rahul asked with a slightly heavy tone
"No, I'm not saying that. I'll miss you too," Priya replied
"Then don't go please, can't you ask your boss to extend your leave?"
"Yeah, only if she knew that I had such a caring boyfriend like you," Priya replied with a fading smile.
Rahul's head dropped down in disappointment.
"Acha, leave it. Hey, can you get me a cup of coffee? I need it badly!"
"Alright, mam! but what about the flight!"
"What about it? You want me to go to Delhi, don't you? Alright! I'm leaving, bye!"
"Acha sorry! sorry! People will laugh if I hold my ears in the airport.
Let's go! There is a coffee shop nearby, I think." Rahul said
They entered the almost empty small coffee shop around the corner. Rahul ordered two cappuccinos as they both settled down.
"Hey, do you remember the time you tried to confess?" Priya asked
"Yeah..."
"You were trembling like a drunk guy. Geez!" Priya laughed
Rahul fretted an awkward smile and concentrated on the coffee.
They traced down the memory lane, all those joys and sadness they faced together, all the while throwing glances and smiles at each other. But, time frets beyond their control as they forgot to keep track of it.
The clock struck 3. Rahul heard the announcement stating,
"Passengers travelling to Delhi from Kolkata through Indigo flight number ie-6650 are requested to come to the boarding area,"
"Priya, flight! "
They hurried to the terminal, almost running.
Just before entering the terminal, Priya turned to Rahul.
"I'm going to miss you."
"I'll miss you too; come back soon."
"Bye!"
Rahul watched her go as her figure got lost among the other passengers.
Rahul looked up at the sky and mumbled Adieu.
