The Coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown has affected us in many ways, not only in WB but in the nation as a whole. Mostly, the poor people have been suffering the most. It has resulted in an economic crisis never seen before, besides the loss of livelihoods of daily-wage workers and migrant labourers.

During this period, many NGOs have come forward to help them as much as they can. One such name is "Subhas Bose Welfare Association", founded in 2019. Their responsible members have raised their helping hand to the needs of the society.

Relief Works::

On 16.05.2021, Sunday, they arranged a Blood Donation camp in collaboration with the State Blood Transfusion Council, West Bengal and NRS Medical College and Hospital Blood Bank. In 2020, during the post-Amphan period, they distributed food, shelter, and other basic essentials to the people in the Sundarban area.

Initiatives::

Recently, they have opened a school named "Jai Hind Pathshala" to teach 40-50 students in Gosaba, Sundarban area.

Even in this Lockdown period of the 2nd wave of COVID-19, they have established the "Azad Hind Canteen" and are providing food to the needy people in the local area. As responsible citizens, we should come forward in helping them as much as we can. SBWA has definitely entitled themselves as a trustworthy association, where every penny of your kind donation is utterly fruitful. And to add to this, our very own AOT-ians, Nilay Nandi, CSE pass-out and Akash Biswas, ME 4th year are an integral part of this community. They are doing their very best in helping the society during these trying times and are also making all of us at AOT really proud.

Please donate as much as you can to the given details. Even the smallest contributions are a lot to the community and the society as a whole. After donating, do inform Akash Biswas or Abhisekh Singh to get a receipt copy of the same.

We, all AOT-ians, are paying gratitude to them and all the rest of the members of SBWA. Best wishes for all their future work.

And special thanks to Abhisekh Singh (Lead of Ingenium Magazine),  who is also helping them a lot currently. Stay home, stay safe!
