Mofosholi is a YouTube channel that celebrates suburbia culture and lifestyle. It was created in 2021 by the enthusiastic and vivacious EB. Mofosholi, with its goal of fostering and advancing hip-hop culture in Mofoshol and the surrounding areas, has developed into a center for creative expression and innovation.  The song “Mofoshol Cypher,” which featured the legendary Mofossol Music combo (OldBoy and WhySir), served as the precursor to the popular song “Khati Hip Hop.” 

Shinjini Bose, a student at AOT, had the incredible encounter to be the main choreographer for Mofosholi’s latest hip-hop track, “Khati Hip Hop”. When we approached her she was glad to share her journey and said -

" Accompany me on an immersive experience as I recount my interactions with the Mofosholi crew and the gifted dancers from my university who brought this production to reality."

Working as the lead choreographer for this song, she collaborated with amazing people such as Suge, Bura Sapna, EB, Sassy, Old Boy, and Whysir. Suge’s passion and commitment to the music creation, mixing, and mastering were evident, resulting in a dance anthem that accurately captured the unique and varied character of the suburbs.

Some other students of our college notably Shruti Jha, Soumili Basu, Rishan Singha, Jyotirmoy Baidya, and Souron Das made up the dancing team, and they gave the project their all. They choreographed to the beat of “Khati Hip Hop,” intending to evoke the spirit of suburban living via dance. It was a group endeavor that brought together the suburban spirit and hip-hop culture. Collaborating with Mofosholi was an incredible and thrilling experience for all of them. From the singers to the production staff, everyone on the team had a contagious devotion. With every move they performed, their excitement and dedication to presenting suburban culture’s distinctiveness came through. 

Mofosholi stands out not only for its creative content but also for the powerful vision that fuels its endeavors. Beyond the beats and rhythms, Mofosholi envisions a community where the essence of suburban life is celebrated, where hip-hop becomes a unifying force, breaking down barriers and fostering a sense of togetherness. The bond within the 

Mofosholi family is palpable, and it goes beyond the screen. According to them working with the team felt like being part of a collective heartbeat, each member contributing their unique skills and passion to create something truly special. The camaraderie between the artists, dancers, and the production crew is the foundation upon which Mofosholi stands. It's not just about making music and videos; it's about creating a cultural movement that resonates with the hearts of those who call the suburbs home. 

The publication of “Khati Hip Hop” made the celebrations much more exciting as Durga Pujo drew near. They dreamed that the dance anthem would bring pleasure and celebration to Pujo and make it even better. To sum up, Mofosholi is a movement that honors and enhances the suburban rhythm, not merely a YouTube channel.

Her narration made us immensely involved in the idea of mofossoli as every step they took and every beat they danced to, the spirit of Mofosholi's vision was alive, weaving a tapestry that reflects the beauty and diversity of suburban life.
